There are three major events taking place in Ireland on this day, namely,

1. Clergy and Parishioners of St. Patrick's Parish, Cork celebrate the Golden
Jubilee of the Ordination of our Parish Priest, Canon Liam Leader.

2. The inauguration and launching of St. Patrick's Parish, Cork, website.

3. The opening of the 11th. Summer Special Olympic Games, at Croke Park, Dublin.

It is to this latter event that we, at St. Patrick's Parish, Cork, extend a very warm welcome to all our overseas visitors, athletes, coaches, parents, volunteers and officials.

Ireland is very proud to be chosen as the first country outside of the United States of America to hold this prestigious event.
